I have heard a bit of everything and I was always a big believer in Polk Audio. One of the best systems I ever built consisted of medium level Polk speakers all the way around and powered by MTX amps. I paired these 10" DVC 4 ohm subs up to a Polk PA 600.1 amp. First time using any of Polks amps so I wasn't sure what I would find. I have to say that so far I am extemely pleased with these subs!!! I haven't gotten through the "break in" period yet that I have heard about, so apparently it's supposed to get better :)On first listen they were disgustingly punchy and accurate. Most tones were smooth and tight (with the exceptions of vibrations in my car)These things hit hard and dip low, and the 1" excursion is no joke, they do it! I am able to play any type of music and hear sonic excellence. I put each of these into their own boxes build exactly to the specs on Polks website.
