My boat has a center console with a small "glove box" storage area. I installed and wired the MP3 amplifier very easily. The included speakers were more of a problem. I initially planned on cutting out holes in the fiberglass console to mount the speakers but, ultimately decided to buy another set of boxed in marine speakers and mounted them on the transom facing forward. The system sounds great and be heard well over my 30 HP Honda engine. The components can be also purchases individually if you aren't sure where to put the speakers. It was simple to install boxed in speakers. A great product for a small boat. Follow the wiring directions carefully. The installs went smooth, the product is well thought out and my customers are happy. For my particular situation the volume knob with on/off switch was very helpful: simply connect 12vdc and my preamp wiring and we're going, no need for a remote turn on with a toggle switch. We also tested with an mp3 player and music, pretty impressive sound for the price, this kit would be great on a center console. They make 2 and 4 speaker kits... Great for the money!
